Loyalists and Layabouts (Toledo conference)

On October 25, 2008, I made a video presentation at “Commemorating 1808: Fighting for the Right to Dream,” a conference held at the University of Toledo Law School in Toledo, Ohio,  to mark the 200th Anniversary of the American  Prohibition on Importing Slaves.

The talk, entitled “British Freedom: Promise and Reality. The Case of the Black Loyalists” is available here.
