Current Projects

I'm currently researching The Sting of the Wasp: Castro, Clinton, Marquez and the Cuban Five, a nonfiction account of the Cuban Five spy case.

I'm completing editing on an update to Thomas Raddall's seminal history of Halifax, Warden of the North, which will be published by Nimbus in 2010. The new material will cover the period from 1963 to the present.

I am working with Lady Hammond Entertainment of Halifax and Hill 100 Productions of Toronto to develop a contemporary dramatic series for television called Hali, which is inspired by my 2006 novel, Reparations.

I am also working on a number of feature articles for The Coast, Halifax's alternative weekly. My most recent stories in The Coast:

    STEPHEN KIMBER, the Rogers Communications Chair in Journalism at the University of King's College in Halifax, is an award-winning writer, editor and broadcaster. He is the author of one novel -- Reparations -- and eight non-fiction books.
